Pre Procedure (day of)

paperwork

When you come in, you will need to read through and sign all necessary paperwork and consent forms. Feel free to ask any questions about the procedure and the forms at this time. It is important to discuss your lifestyle and expectations with your artist or technician prior to the procedure.

preparation

After paperwork has been signed, you will be escorted to a room where you can relax as we clean the skin and numbing creme is applied. The numbing creme we use is a top of the line topical anesthetic designed specifically for use during these kinds of procedures.

design

Your artist will make measurements, simulate the design, and formulate the perfect color for your approval prior to beginning the treatment. Once the desired shape and color have been chosen, we will begin the procedure.

During the Procedure

Application

A numbing cream will be applied to the area of the procedure to alleviate any discomfort during the process. Your artist will prepare all materials for the application. Only sterile, top of the line equipment will be used for procedures.

Duration

Duration of the procedures vary by procedure but in general they typically last less than an hour and a half. Your artist will try to make it as comfortable as possible for you during the procedure.

Finishing touches

After your artist completes the application you will have time to check to make sure the initial application results are to your liking. They will prepare an after-care kit and go over what post care will be required.

Post Care

Immediately after

The procedure may result in visible redness, some swelling and occasional bruising. The intermittent application of ice to the area can help to reduce these symptoms. Please refer to your after care kit for specific instructions.

One week after

By this point most swelling and tenderness will be gone. There will be peeling of the skin, and sloughing off of the pigment trapped in the epidermis (the uppermost layers of skin cells). As the skin heals, the color will continue to change for the next few weeks. Don’t worry — all of this is perfectly normal and an expected part of the healing process!

Two months after

Two months after the procedure, the healing process should be complete. You may add to or adjust your makeup to suit your lifestyle. The application of sunscreen and good sun sense will help preserve your permanent makeup for years to come. Heavy sun exposure (indoor and outdoor) will cause early fading of the pigments.
